1st week review

The above picture tell everything. Just got my staff card or security card today after one week i started off my working life here. Yea..it is official, i am officially an exec in SKO.

It has a whole new experience to me, from that moment i touched down to the soil of Miri to the moment i pen this blog, everything seems to move very fast. One week just passed without realizing it. Been picked up and "chaffeured" everyday by SKO driver, staying in a quite luxurious hotel( each of us got our own triple sharing room) for two weeks reconfirmed my predictment of the intensity of outside ppls cracking their head, trying to squeeze themselves into oil and gas industry.

My hotel room

Been here for the 1st time. everything are so alien and new to me. But Thank God that there are various party of people who are there to assist me. In my working environment, BRE/5 or MCI section colleagues who have been helping me in adapting to this "thinker" section., especially to Ivy, Jing Jing , Ester, Ruzlan and FridauSEEEE...thank you. To those saints who help me to settle my accomodation and brought me to familiarize with the Miri city. May the Lord remember your offering.

My rooms for next few years

More of my house picture are available in my facebook.

Anyway, one week has passed.another week here before i fly back to west msia for PIPE. Time to learn more and get used to the life in Miri and SKO. Till then, Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it and Happy new Year....countdown to 6 days before we closed the curtain of 2009

Adios West Msia, Hello Miri

The time has finally arrived, after 6 months of lazying around been jobless while waiting for the placement, i am flying off to Miri tomorrow for my first job. Tomorrow, my parents will be sending me to the KLIA and bid adios to me.

My feeling now is totally mixed. With the belief that i have made a right decision to accept this offer , i am anxious yet excited, anxious as i m pondering what really going to happen next few days and how my future going to be unfolded, exciting due to my new home, Miri and my working environment. I have been googling a lot and asked some unbiased feedback regarding this city. And the response was very possitive except that the cost of living there is just slightly below comprare to KL which force me to do early budgeting.

Recently, i had the opportunity to fellowship with my youth serving one for advice as he has been in this industry for quite some times yet he can still managed to live a proper church life. From the fellowship, i been reminded that no matter how busy i will be , i still need to live a proper church life. One of the useful way to keep myself attached to the church life is thru engaged myself in the church service. The phase he used " Not according to our own preference" which give me clearer picture on the church service which i hope to engage. Thank you brother for such a timely reminder.

To my friends whom i managed to meet up for farewell in 4 different places, Sitiawan, KL , Melaka and Penang, i enjoyed hanging up with you all and thank you for your time spent to meet up with me. You have my best wishes in your future endeavor. All the best and see you when there is chance.

I have to stop here , gonna prepare for my dinner with my parents in sunway piramid. sad to leave them too but life still have to go on, hope they can take care themselves when i am not around. Ok...Time to off...Adios to West Msia and Hello to MIRI...May the Lord continue to preserve me.

Update and update

Since my time in west Msia is numbered, i have been occupied with quite a few activities that really left me not much time for myself. 1st in the line is the medical check up for pre employment. It had been a terrible experience having to conduct the check up in KPJ Ipoh specialist Hosp. What i heard from my friends who did medical check up in Prince Court Medical Centre didnt happen to me. One word to summarize, Low efficiency. A medical check up which can done in few hours or the half day, took me two days to settle. Had to travel back and off between Sitiawan and Ipoh for two days. Among those blunder they did, you name it they have it. BMI result hilang?? Missed up drug test??Audiology test missed again?? Been the most expensive hospital in Perak, how can their efficiency be lower than those government???? May be the Lord specially arrange this situation for me to experience Him more and more. Anyway Praise the Lord for this.

Next, the "implementation day". The planning for my 2nd sister wedding dinner reception. Been in planning for the past few weeks , coordinating with the event management company, Everything planned to make sure that my sister and her husband have a wonderful and memorable wedding dinner, once in a life time, surely it have to be done perfectly. and the outcome??? for me is turn up to be what i expected. The guests liked it and the most important, my sister and her husband love it. Thank you to those who attended for your support and i appreciate for been given such an opportunity to do the planning and MCing. Thanks for loving the video that i did too

After settling my sister wedding, next in line is road trip or farewell trip that i planned before i leave west msia. Melaka is my 1st destination, managed to meet up with sis wendy, my internship supervisor Adrian Chek, my fellow trainee who is now engineer, Jun kiong and last but not least, Bro wei Bing. All done in one day and appreciate these ppl who spent time to met up with me. Thank You guys and Thank you Melaka for been such a nice place.

After Melaka, i went straight to Shah alam who is my sister place. Stayed a few days there while saying adios to my youngest sis who departed to Singapore for better future. At my sis place, i been unlucky enough to be spreaded with the three most common sickness, i called it " three musketeers" flu, cough and sore throat. Not H1n1 coz i dnt hav fever..hahaha..... By the way, i managed to meet up with my close buddies in USJ..great to see you, Mr Tee.

While trying to cure my sickness, i traveled to Penang with my parents and my sister's family and of course the naughty yet cute elvin. Staying in Berjaya Hotel in Georgetown while spending quality time with my family definitely worth it. Last night, i managed to meet up with my former internmates who surprise me with a gift. A brown colour T shirt which have these words" My Jobs makes my life possible but my job is not my life", That very true that reflect my personal opinion on the job which i obtained. Thank you Sue Ling, Poh Tshin, Jing Quek and Zting for this farewell gift. i loved it very much and surely i will wear it. Thank for the sacrifice you all did, having to travel 40 mins from Bayan Baru to Pulau Tikus, stucked in heavy traffic jam.Thank you ladies....

Next week, i hope to have my flight ticket settled, all the my personel belongings packed up and the car shipping to east msia settled. Countdown 10 days before i start my new stage of life...working life.......I have been reminded of one sentence...." In Everything give thanks" That really been a great encouragement for me....Thank you saints..
